God’s grace is an amazing gift. This gift is available to all but not all will receive or enjoy the benefits of God’s grace in their lives.

In Romans 5:1-2 we find that there is an “access point” into grace. Grace is available to all but any who truly desire that grace must come through the door or access point and come into grace.

This verse says: “Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hop of the glory of God.”

Notice Jesus is the access point. Jesus Himself declares this when He says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus also calls Himself the Door or the Gate through which people must enter.

Notice we have peace with God through Jesus. Until you “lose your life” for Christ and follow Him you don’t have peace with God and stand condemned. John 3:18 tells us: “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

Do not let false teaching about grace or watered down teaching about grace into your life. Christ is the only access point into the grace of God. Once in God’s grace we can stand confidently and with great joy.

As true believers God’s grace teaches us to live holy lives. In much of the grace teaching today the word “holiness” is feared and misunderstood. God’s grace teaches us to say NO to ungodliness, not the Law.

The Law is not the schoolmaster for the believer, but Grace is the schoolmaster and Titus 2: 12 teaches this. Jude goes on to warn about false teachers who give license to sin. Grace never gives license to sin.

Grace has cleansed us of from sin, freed us from sin’s power over our lives, we are to have nothing to do with sin. If you’re a Believer living in sin, get yourself untangled from it and cast it away. Sin always destroys and the Bible teaches we cannot live according to the sinful nature and still inherit the Kingdom of God. Live in the holiness that God has granted you through His merciful and loving grace.
